Win tickets to the Agulhas Wine Triangle Festival!

We’re offering you the chance to win a set of two tickets (valued at R 180 each) to the Agulhas Wine Triangle Festival plus a six-bottle mixed case of wine from the district.

This year the Festival takes place on Saturday, 30 October at Lomond wine farm near Gansbaai.

The Agulhas Wine Triangle Festival showcases eight of the region’s wine brands: Black Oystercatcher, The Giant Periwinkle, Ghost Corner, Land’s End and Strandveld Vineyards from the Elim ward, Sijnn Wines from Malgas, Lomond Wines from Cape Agulhas, and Bruce Jack Wines from Napier.

Event Details
Guests can taste in a safe, well-spaced, walkaround tasting area, and get the opportunity to chat to the makers. A series of themed masterclasses will also be presented. Wines will be paired with locally sourced cheese and charcuterie platters. The AWT Wine Shop will offer wine and local produce for sale.

Wine Walk: 10h00 to 12h00
Kick off the festival with a 5km walk in the vineyards stopping at different wine tasting stations along the way.

The Art of Blending: 11h45 to 13h00        
Try your hand at blending white and red wines made by AWT members.

Regional Tasting: 14h30 to 16h00
Discover why the wines from Africa’s southernmost vineyards are unique during a tutored, comparative tasting.

Entrance fee is R180 per person, including a glass and walkaround tasting. Masterclasses are available for R80 per person, per session.

Competition not open to those under 18 years of age and closes at 17h00 on Wednesday 27 October. The prize does not include transport or accommodation. The winner will be chosen by lucky draw and notified by email. Existing subscribers are also eligible.
