Monkey business.

Monkey business.

The grapes for the Family Reserve Bobbejaanberg Sauvginon Blanc 2013 (R75 a bottle) from Calitzdorp winery Boplaas come from a small vineyard at 650m above sea level in the Outeniqua Mountains. With flavours green pepper and winter melon, it comes across as rich and thick textured with moderate acidity. A rather particular wine – due to the rather particular terroir?

Score: 87/100.
