Top ones such as Peter Bayly and Muratie don’t even enter these competition tastings

    Naand, Christian

Die resultaat is my eie organiese pineau. Daaroor het ek ook iets te sê.

    Laat weet of jy belangstel.

Hi Christian, was there any particular reason for such a small representation number? I also noticed some great producers like Klein Constantia & Nederburg not represented, are some producers just declining to participate or what?

Hi Jacques, We charge an entry fee of R950 for our report tastings and it is entirely at the discretion of the producers whether or not they wish to participate. As has been discussed often in recent times, we employ a hybrid model of both blind panel tastings and sighted reviews conducted by me, the latter being a loss-leading activity and hence our ongoing request that readers should contribute to running costs.
