I try and make a regular stop at Boplaas every time I travel through Calitzdorp. They have to be one of the most under rated producers in the country, their fortifieds are consistently world class. They make a very good whisky and gin too.

These fortifieds may not be the most popular styles of wine on the market but boy they do look like incredible value for money! Everyone you have a half of sticky in the fridge or a bottle of Port or Cape Tawny in the liquor cabinet.
