Getaway to run Nedbank Green Wine Awards 2011

The Nedbank Green Wine Awards to be held for the third time this year sees RamsayMedia’s Getaway magazine take over as media partner after the recent closure of Wine magazine. There are two categories of entry, namely: 1) Best Environmental Practice Award and 2) Best Wine from Organically Grown Grapes. Entries for the former have already closed but entries for the latter are now being called for.

This award will be given to the best wine from organically grown grapes. It is a condition of entry that all wines submitted are accompanied by valid certification, such as that issued by Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS). Judging takes place on Tuesday 13 September with me chairing the panel and joined by Cathy van Zyl MW and François Rautenbach of Singita Premier Wine Direct.
