Saxenburg appoints Dirk van Zyl as winemaker

Dirk van Zyl is the new winemaker at Saxenburg in Stellenbosch taking over from Edwin Grace and effective immediately. Van Zyl, who graduated Cum Laude from the University of Stellenbosch with a BSc in Viticulture and Oenology, was most recently assistant winemaker at DeMorgenzon. He will be joined by Reenen Borman of Boschkloof and Patatsfontein fame in a consultation capacity from the 2019 vintage onwards.
