Van Loveren acquires Survivor

Van Loveren, the family-owned wine company with its origins in Robertson, has announced the acquisition of the Survivor Wines brand (effective 18 November) and the near-finalisation of its purchase of the Overhex cellar situated between Worcester and Robertson.
The Survivor brand was launched by Overhex International in 2015 as an attempt to “get higher up the value chain”. Pierre Wahl, previously of Rijk’s in Tulbagh, became head winemaker at the beginning of 2022, and now slots into the Van Loveren winemaking team.
