The 2013 edition of the Best Value Wine Guide sponsored by Ultra Liquors is now available. In order to be included in the book, wines must firstly sell for not more than R80 a bottle and then had to receive a rating of 2½ Stars or better on being tasted by a panel.

We’re the wines tasted blind?

Kind of rankles to have to dispense with “Port” and “Sherry” simply to placate the EU but point taken. From now on these terms shall be banished from my blog.

Curious that you have a “Port” category. Isn’t it time to move on? And Sherry?
