Anysbos new releases

What a thing of beauty the white blend called Disdit from Bot River property Anysbos as made by Marelise Niemann is turning out to be. The soon-to-be-released 2020 is a blend of 77% Chenin Blanc, 14% Roussanne, 7% Grenache Blanc and 2% Marsanne. Utterly enticing aromatics of flowers, herbs, lime, lemon, pear, peach plus the smallest hint of leesy reduction precede a palate of complexity, focus and drive – pure fruit and electric acidity, the finish extremely long and savoury. Thrilling to drink.
CE’s rating: 97/100.
Disdit is now joined by a red blend called Tesame, the maiden releases being from the 2019 vintage and consisting of 43% Grenache, 43% Syrah and 14% Cinsault. The nose shows red currant, raspberry, dried herbs and white pepper while the palate is light-bodied with fresh acidity and a salty finish. It’s a nicely restrained, understated wine but not as arresting as its counterpart above.
CE’s rating: 91/100.

Look forward to trying the red blend. Are they still releasing Grenache Noir as a varietal wine, or is that now blended into the Tesame?

Hi Ben, The Grenache is no longer as I understand.
