Bon Courage Jacques Bruére Cuvée Rose Brut 2011

By , 2 December 2019

Superdry.

The Jacques Bruére Cuvée Rose Brut 2011 from Bon Courage in Robertson currently on the market is a late disgorgement, the back label suggesting at least 60 months of lees contact. A blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, the nose is shy and elusive with vague notes of sour cherry and mushroom while the palate is lean and super-savoury, the mousse very fine. A bit of yeasty complexity appears on the finish lending interest. Most elegant and great quality relative to price at around R195 a bottle.

CE’s rating: 91/100.
