By Christian Eedes, 6 November 2020
1

Spontaneously fermented and matured for some 11 months in barrel, 40% new, the nose shows yellow peach, honeysuckle and hay while the palate is particularly dense and full (alcohol is 13.8%) but equally very much in focus, the finish possessing a tonic-water sort of bitterness which suits it well. Price: R340 a bottle.
CE’s rating: 93/100.

You should ask Julian to produce a 2004 Bowwood – then a Cab – also from Vondeling. Matt is doing a great job. The Pinotage is next level beautiful.
