De Meye new releases

By , 13 August 2026

Many readers of this site will know the Muldersvlei property De Meye for The Table at De Meye, the excellent restaurant run by chef couple Brendan Thorncroft and Leigh Williamson. But what of the wines?

De Meye is farmed by fifth-generation Philip Myburgh, cousin of the Myburghs of Joostenberg while Liam du Plessis, who completed his Viticulture and Oenology studies at Stellenbosch University in 2022, joined as winemaker with the aim of raising the profile of the property’s vinous offering. The latest releases suggest he has a good foundation to work from.
