Flotsam & Jetsam 2015 is Chris and Suzaan Alheit’s take on Cinsault, grapes from the same Darling block that supplies Francois Haasbroek, Ian Naudé, Donovan Rall and Duncan Savage.
It has an alcohol of 12% and comes across as particularly light which is not to say short of aroma or flavour. Strawberries, red and black cherries, some earthiness and little spice. Pure fruit, lovely freshness and fine tannins, it disappeared in a flash. Sold out locally.
