Keermont Terrasse 2021

By , 23 December 2022

The 2015 vintage of Terrasse from Stellenbosch property Keermont was best overall with a rating of 95 in the Cape White Blend Report of 2017 and the 2021 vintage again impresses.

Consisting of 56% Chenin Blanc, 18% Sauvignon Blanc, 17% Chardonnay, 4% Roussanne, 4% Marsanne and 1% Viognier, the wine was fermented and matured for 12 months in older oak. The nose shows a herbaceous top note before citrus, peach, some leesy complexity as well as ginger and other spice while the palate has good fruit density (alcohol: 14%) to go with punchy acidity before a savoury finish. A dramatic wine with layers of flavour and a long finish. Price: R210 a bottle.

CE’s rating: 95/100.
