KWV The Centenary Blanc de Blancs 2011
By Christian Eedes, 7 May 2018
To commemorate its 100th year, KWV have launched a limited edition Methodé Cap Classique in the form The Centenary Blanc de Blancs 2011 and most accomplished it is, too. Grapes from various appellations, it spent 72 months on the lees. The nose shows some reduction before green apple, citrus and a hint of baked bread. The palate is particularly pure and fresh with a fine mousse before a long and gently savoury finish. Price: R249 a bottle.
Editor’s rating: 91/100.
