Lemberg Lady 2013

Great things were expected of Tulbagh cellar Lemberg while David Sadie was there but unfortunately his involvement was short-lived.
A white blend by the name of “Lady” that he created was perhaps the wine which most captured the imagination, and the 2013 vintage is still available in the trade.
Consisting of 59% Viognier, 33% Hárslevelű, 4% Sauvignon Blanc and 4% Semillon, it’s a compelling if somewhat unusual proposition.
Citrus, apple and peach but also thatch, marzipan and a definite leesy quality. It’s a substantial wine – full flavoured with a pronounced savoury finish. Not exactly everyday drinking but satisfying in its own way. Price: R132 a bottle.
#WinemagRating: 90/100.

I have the maiden 2012. Probably time to drink it?
