Loïc du Toit, part of the winemaking team at De Wetshof in Robertson, has released his first wine under his own label, The White Bait Chardonnay 2025 (price: R220 a bottle).
Unwooded, the nose shows pear, lime, blossom and a hint of flinty reduction while the palate is pure and racy with a saline finish. Clean and fruity, it makes for cheerful drinking. Alc: 13.65%.
