Carsten Migliarina is a sommelier turned winemaker, his first bottling of his own label being 2002. New to the range is a 2020 Chardonnay from Stellenbosch bush vines. Forthcoming aromatics of lemon, orange and nectarine plus some leesy complexity precede a palate that is surprisingly full and luscious give a relatively moderate alcohol of 13%. A wine with plenty of sun-kissed flavour, tangy acidity lending balance. Price: R260 a bottle.
