Nederburg The Anchorman Chenin Blanc 2015

Now with added Grenache Blanc.

Part of Nederburg’s Heritage Heroes range, The Anchorman Chenin Blanc has always been a pretty smart wine but the 2015 now contains 15% Grenache Blanc which provides even more complexity.

Fermentation occurs in various vessels including old oak barrels, vats and stainless steel tank, a small portion undergoing carbonic maceration and the wine was kept on the lees for nine months. On the nose, pear and citrus plus straw and yellow earth while the palate shows pure fruit and fresh acidity before a pithy finish. Well balanced and nicely understated making for a very more-ish drop. Price: R140 a bottle.
