Neethlingshof Short Story Collection Maria Noble Late Harvest 2009

In its pomp.

The Short Story Collection Maria Noble Late Harvest 2009 from Neethlingshof in Stellenbosch was judged best museum class unfortified dessert wine and best museum class wine overall at the recent Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show and very smart it is, too.

From Riesling, the nose is terrifically complex: some floral fragrance before marmalade, apricot, caramel plus a hint of nuttiness and a touch of petrol. The palate is rich and thick textured, the acidity nicely coated, the finish suitably savoury.

#WinemagRating: 93/100.
