Solms Delta Amalie 2023
Price: R199
70% Grenache Blanc, 25% Marsanne and 5% Viognier. Grapes from Swartland. The nose shows top notes of floral perfume and dried herbs before pear, peach and citrus. The palate is lean and taut – good clarity of fruit, lively acidity and a pithy finish. Pure and harmonious. Alc: 13%.
CE’s rating: 94/100.
Solms Delta Hiervandaan 2023
Price: R199
69% Shiraz, 15% Grenache, 8% Cinsaut and 8% Mourvèdre. Grapes from Darling and Tulbagh. Expressive and appealing aromatics of red and black berries, herbs, fynbos and some light spice. The palate is not immensely structured but does show clean fruit and vibrant acidity, the finish nicely dry. Alc: 13%.
CE’s rating: 90/100.
