Things in South Africa aren’t all bad when you cany buy the sensational Heritage Chenin Blanc 2021 from Tierhoek in Piekenierskloof, grapes from a block planted in 1977, for just R230 a bottle.
Evocative aromatics of potpourri, citrus, peach, fynbos, hay and a hint of leesy complexity while the palate has a dense core of fruit to go with a great line of acidity and a dry finish. Clean, elegant and long. Alc: 13.5%.
