From Bot River, Elgin, Bottelary, Paarl and Wellington. 70% whole-bunch fermentation. Matured in older barrels of various sizes for 14 months. The palate shows proper weight and depth – no dip through the mid-palate – the fruit matched by bright acidity and powdery tannins. Nicely composed, with just the right degree of substance at a modest 13.2% alcohol.
CE’s rating: 93/100.
