Constantia property Steenberg has long been known for its powerhouse Sauvignon Blanc and the 2024 delivers once again. From the two best blocks on the property, the nose shows hay, herbs, gravel road dustiness, green bean and peach while the palate is rich and creamy thanks to nine months on the lees but equally features brisk acidity and a saline finish. At 14% alcohol, this makes a big statement. Price: R295 a bottle.
