George Jardine is new executive chef at Mount Nelson

Cape Town hotel Mount Nelson, owned by international hospitality company Belmond, has appointed George Jardine as its new executive chef.

Jardine has worked around the world. Locally, he opened the original Jardine restaurant in Bree Street, Cape Town in 2006 before moving to Stellenbosch wine property Jordan in 2009  and then re-opened Jardine in 2016, this time in Stellenbosch town centre. He was Eat Out Chef of the Year in 2006 and 2007.
