The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2015 results

The Test Kitchen by Luke Dale-Roberts in Woodstock, Cape Town has taken 28th spot in the annual The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna. As with last year, The Test Kitchen also achieved Best Restaurant in Africa.
The Tasting Room at Le Quartier Français in Franschhoek was joint 88th with Zuma, Dubai (although how you can come 88th on a list of 50, we’re not sure…).

Two observations- Something exciting must be happening in Lima, Peru, to have 3 restaurants in the top 50 and it seems some prospective restaurateurs are looking to South African political history for the names of their establishments! (Zuma and Biko…).

There you go…Peru appearing out of nowhere as a culinary hotspot…who would have thought that the govt of Peru would be a sponsor? ! 🙂
