Distell’s head winemaker departs

Breaking news is that Distell’s head winemaker Razvan Macici has left the company with immediate effect. He took the position in July 2015 after having previously served as Nederburg winemaker since 2001. Asked for comment, he said he was “legally bound” not to go into detail – given that harvest is in full swing, it must be presumed that the parting was less than amicable.
