JD Pretorius will complete his last harvest at Constantia property Steenberg this coming year, before moving to Warwick in Stellenbosch in early 2019 to head up viticulture and winemaking.

He then worked  a brief stint at Beyerskloof before being appointed harvest supervisor at Graham Beck. In 2008 he ventured to California to participate in the harvest for Stonestreet Wines in Sonoma Valley and joined Steenberg upon his return to South Africa in 2009.
