Sauvignon Blanc from Elim can come across as rather too severe but not the 2019 vintage of David Nieuwoudt Ghost Corner. Matured on the lees for four months, this has very appealing aromatics of citrus, peach and apple plus some fynbos while the palate has good weight, nicely integrated acidity and a gently savoury finish. Pure and precise. Price: R220 a bottle.
