Matured for 14 months in 300-litre barrels of which 45% were new, the nose shows cassis, some leafiness, turned earth, vanilla and spice while the palate is full-bodied with dense fruit, fresh acidity and pleasantly firm tannins, the finish long and savoury. Price: R220 a bottle.
