Graham Beck Blanc de Blancs 2017

By , 16 June 2022

The 2017 vintage of Blanc de Blancs from Cap Classique specialists Graham Beck is particularly classy. Grapes from Robertson Chardonnay, 50% of the juice was fermented and aged for five months in 205-litre barrels of which 7% were new while the blended base wine kept on the lees for at least 48 months after secondary fermentation.

Citrus, brioche and some reduction on the nose while the palate is full but balanced. It possesses a good core of fruit, creamy mousse and well-integrated acidity, the finish very dry. Price: R350 a bottle.

CE’s rating: 92/100.
