Swinsean Chardonnay 2023
Price: R550

Grapes from an Upper Hemel-en-Aarde vineyard planted in 2004.  Matured for 11 months in 350-litre barrels, 27% new. Lemon, oatmeal, a hint of vanilla and a touch of struck-match reduction. A dense core of fruit is balanced by vibrant, zingy acidity, the finish long and dry. Textured yet poised, this is both classically styled and effortlessly stylish. Alc: 12.58%

CE’s rating: 94/100.
