Not for the faint-hearted.
If you like overt pyrazine character on your Sauvignon Blanc (and some people do), then you’ll like the Limited Edition 2015 from Zonnebloem.
Made from Stellenbosch fruit, the wine shows cut grass and fresh herbs on the nose while the palate shows lime and green pepper. It’s a dramatic, somewhat severe wine, appearing super-concentrated and extra-dry on the finish. It will be available from November with an approximate retail price of R90 a bottle.
