Alto expands Helderberg footprint with acquisition of Bilton

The proprietor of Stellenbosch property Alto, Hans von Staff-Reitzenstein (LVS Capital) of Germany, who also owns Stellenzicht and is invested in Ernie Els Wines, has announced the successful completion of a transaction with the shareholders of Bilton Wines.
This acquisition encompasses specific portions of the Bilton property, in the Helderberg area of Stellenbosch and very near to Alto, along with certain associated infrastructure and assets. Bilton currently has just over 51ha of planted vineyards, which will significantly help fulfil Alto’s growth aspirations. It should be noted that the Bilton Wines brand will remain in the Bilton family, who also retain existing wine stock.
