Coronavirus regulations: Cessation of the export of finished wine

Following today’s media briefing by the government and also referring to various official notices, the transport of all alcohol products is prohibited (except where it is to be used for health and cleaning purposes). This includes wine for export purposes. The local ban on the buying and selling of alcohol remains in place.

I find these decisions draconian and they will kill the wine industry. Just another way for the ANC to gain access to valuable and productive land mainly in the hands of hard working and dedicated passionate farmers,
