Thx, Mark!

kwispedoor, check out eatery jhb in parkmore for botanica wines, they have stocked them for some time.

Thanks, Hennie! I’m up here in Tappet Valley (Gauteng), so Caroline’s is not an option for me. At least they’re on my radar screen now. *cue Jaws theme music*

Must say this is the best line-up of 5 star wines I have seen in a long time. Glad to see others share the same view. Kudos.
Hennie @ Batonage | 31 October 2012
@Kwispedoor – I’ve only seen the Botanica Chenin stocked at Caroline’s – its a cracker and worth the hunt to find it.
Smirrie | 31 October 2012
Many of the wine i punted on my own list made it. Mullineux deserve the red wine of the year. Im a bit sad their chenin didnt made it.
Great list of five stars wine.
And more important is the platter guide available at the bookshops.

Available from the second half of November at selected bookstores and retailers country-wide. Recommended retail price of R169.95.

There will always be controversial exclusions, but what a whoppingly good list of wines! I must say, I’ve never even seen a bottle of that Botanica (or any of their other wines). Must get to taste that.
Curious that the Alheit Cartology 2011 is listed under Chenin and not White Blends: it’s neither labelled as a Chenin nor is it a pure cultivar wine (blended with 8% red and white Semillon).
Congratulations Gottfried, you wizard!
