Julien Schaal Mountain Vineyards Pinot Noir 2020

By , 1 October 2021

Happy days. Julien Schaal, who makes wine both in Alsace and South Africa, has added an Elgin Pinot Noir to his portfolio, tasty stuff at the relatively inexpensive price of R185 a bottle. A hint of flinty reduction to go with alluring musk and red cherry on the nose before a palate that shows good fruit density, moderate acidity and soft tannins.

CE’s rating: 90/100.
