Natte Valleij Darling Cinsault 2017
From a 1978 vineyard planted on granite. Red and black fruit plus some fynbos on the nose. Relatively deep and rich with tangy acidity and gently grippy tannins. Has a vinosity that its counterparts don’t have. Alcohol: 13.5%.

Natte Valleij Simonsberg-Paarl Cinsault 2017
From a 1993 block planted on shale and granite. A shy nose – some reduction plus a note of berry-flavoured boiled sweets. Rather lean with fresh acidity and fine tannins, the finish nicely savoury. Alcohol: 13.5%.

Natte Valleij Stellenbosch Cinsault 2017
From a 1974 vineyard planted on granite. Very fragrant – a top note of rose water before red cherry and plum. Light bodied with juicy fruit, lemon-like acidity and some spice to the finish. The most elegant of the foursome. Alcohol: 12%.

Natte Valleij Swartland Cinsault 2017
From a 1986 vineyard planted on shale. Black cherry, lavender and some typical Swartland earthiness on the nose. The palate shows plenty of bouncy fruit, bright acidity and soft tannins. Alcohol: 13.5%.
